| In the News... | | | | Breaking the Stereotypes Country Fair: Free Food & Multicultural Discoveries | | November 18, 2009 | | Noon to 1 p.m. | The highlight of the International Education Week celebration, the Breaking the Stereotypes Country Fair & ASFC Heritage Month Series Showcase will introduce you to numerous countries in a fair setting with tables displaying country-specific information, art, food, music and much more. The fair takes place in the Campus Center Dining Room. Admission is free. Free pizza will be provided to all participants. If you are also interested in testing your cultural knowledge, take a part in the quiz for a chance to win great prizes.
In addition to welcome remarks by Foothill College President Dr. Judy Miner, the event will off unique fair is a great opportunity to explore the diversity of the world with a unique perspective–breaking the stereotypes. There's a lot more to know about each country and culture that lies beneath the common stereotype. Come to find out what it is. Countries that will be highlighted include Korea, Japan, Mongolia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Indonesia, Russia, Brazil, China, Portugal, Singapore, Sudan, India, Philippines and more.
